Prototype cartridges of released games

This section lists known prototypes of released SNES games. There are two classes of what I would consider to be prototypes: carts and binaries. Carts generally originate from magazines or developers and were used for review purposes. Prototype carts may have the final binary on it, or have only minor differences from the final version. The binaries column indicates that there is a publicly released ROM image or assembled binary that differs, even in subtle ways, from the released version. The numbers in the columns may not match, due to the fact that many prototype carts are indeed the same as the released versions, or the binaries that originate from unknown sources.

This section mainly goes over concept art or mock-ups of games.
