Magic Knight Rayearth is based on a popular anime. I played it for a bit, and it seems like it is geared at beginners. It has typical early SFC era RPG graphics, with only the dialogue character pictures being anything approaching great. The enemies that I faced in the first half hour lacked any sort of real challenge, and the music was non-descript. RPGe translated this game about 10 years ago, and was one of the first complete fan translations.
