I'll admit, this certainly came out of left field, but a new version of snes9x was released today.  Here are some of the notable changes:

- Blargg's SPC700 and S-DSP code
- SPC7110 emulation
- A new GTK interface for Linux
- various fixes for the Windows and Mac ports
- new savestate system

The SPC chip emulation works pretty well as for now. I don't know about the new savestate system though, maybe I'm too affected to the old one. Maybe I'll grow to like it with time, i don't know
